Black Cat Co-Creator Keith Pollard has created an Exclusive Great Lakes Comic-Con cover variant for Amazing Spider-Man #23, and will be at the convention in Warren, Michigan (a suburb of Detroit) on Feb. 24-25 to sign copies.
This exclusive cover is actually a recreation of his original cover to Amazing Spider-Man #194, from 1979, which was the first appearance of Black Cat. Keith did the interior pencils for the issue, and also drew a cover. However a decision was made to use a cover by Al Milgrom for the issue instead.
This new cover by Keith also represents the first new work he has done for Marvel in over 20 years. His work on Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Thor continue to be well-regarded and reprinted.
Only 3,000 copies of this variant issue were produced. The promoter of the convention is also offering copies for sale via ebay for $15 each unsigned. Copies can be purchased for pick up at the convention via the con site for $10.
